Installation of O2 SMS connector |
O2 SMS connector (formerly Eurotel SMS connector) installation is described here. This driver is different from common GSM modules and it needs
different configuration data. You must have O2 SMS Connector service active and working internet connection using HTTPS protocol
(port 443) before installation. Connection can be direct or through proxy, but proxy must not be authenticated.
O2 SMS Connector service functionality can be checked using SMS Manager application available from
Telefónica O2.
Select O2 SMS Connector from driver list.
Setup takes proxy server settings from Internet Explorer to be able to connect internet; if proxy is set, this dialog appears.
WARNING - if proxy was set in the past and now it isn't used, setup can not recognize it and setup Mobilchange to use it.
In such case you must delete proxy settings manualy in registry key HKLM/SOFTWARE/Datasys/Mobilchange/Line/line1/driver/Proxy
.
Enter file with private key for communication with B2B gateway. This file must be stored on local disk on PC, where Mobilchange runs. You CAN NOT delete it after installation!!!
Enter file with certificate for communication with B2B gateway. This file must be stored on local disk on PC, where Mobilchange runs. You CAN NOT delete it after installation!!!
Finally enter password for private key, application phone number (BaID, generally in form 1991xxx) and your MSISDN phone number,
usually it is +420720001xxx (xxx is last three numbers from BaID).
Certificates and password for private key you get from application for certificate creation on Telefónica O2 web (download application and run it,
create certificates and password. Then contract agreement for O2 SMS Connector service and activate certificate).
Other information will be provided by Telefónica O2 after certificate activation.
BaID is phone number, which you use when sending SMS to your Mobilchange server (MCO queries etc.). This number is valid only inside
O2 network, SMS from other networks you must send to MSISDN number +420720001xxx.
O2 SMS connector driver is set after installation in way, that recipients from O2 network can see BaID as sender's
number, recipients from other networks can see MSISDN number. So you can reply to the SMS from any network without problems.
More info here.
SMS connector description on Telefónica O2 pages.
Speed of SMS sending depends on MobilChange version: Standard version allows max. throughput 1 SMS/ s, Enterprise version
has no speed limit. These information apply to MobilChange 4.6.22 and higher.
