Problem: | SMS Forward service can not log on to mailbox |
Problem description:
Sometimes SMS Forward service can not log on to service mailboxes (MX_Forward_servername, MX_Notify_servername)
after MobilChange installation. When started in debug mode it reports
Error: Log on to MS Exchange server (Unknown error 0x8004010F)
Solution:
Check ForwardBox and NotifyBox settings in registry branch HKLM\SOFTWARE\Datasys\MobilChange\smsfw\
. Mailbox names are in form /O=MCB/OU=Urad/cn=Recipients/cn=Mx_Forward_Mobilchange (legacyExchangeDN value from Active Directory, can be discovered using Adsiedit.msc).
If setting is correct and SMS Forward doesn't work, use SMTP address instead of legacyExchangeDN value (MX_Forward_servername@yourdomain).
WARNING - if servername is too long, address part in front of @ is trimmed to 20 characters, se check real SMTP address first.
Sometimes also help to set on both Exchange server and on server where SMS Forward runs, in TCP/IP configuration as first DNS server IP address of primary domain controller.
