Problem description:

Regarding to the errors in control software of some GSM modules has been started the version control of this firmware. MobilChange refuses to cooperate with modules every time when their firmware isn't proved enough or when a module hasn't been behaving correctly.

Solution:

If MobilChange refuses to cooperate with a module due to unsupported firmware version, it's strongly recommended to upgrade firmware to highest supported version.

Further information:

If you want to permit, even though with complications, MobilChange to cooperate with your firmware version, you have to do this:

1) run the line driver of MobilChange in "debug" mode --> Stop the MobilChange.Kernel service and run /MobilChange/bin/2mxKernel_multiwindow.cmd.

2) when one of windows tell an error message "unsupported version", find the line with the syntax (driver name)... phone modem version -> [version], ex.: M20 ... phone modem version -> [Revision 2.2]

3) run the registry editor (REGEDIT.EXE or REGEDT32.EXE), open key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Datasys\MobilChange\Config\(driver name), and here add this text string:

- name of item - versionok(number), when the number must be bigger of 1 than the number of previous item, ex.: versionok10, if the last is versionok9.

- jako hodnotu položky uveďte přesný obsah uvedený mezi hranatými závorkami zmíněné chybové hlášky (v našem příkladu je to Revision 2.2)

4) run MobilChange driver again and make sure that now MobilChange cooperates with the module.

In the case when this procedure won't solve your problem, it will be necessary to make an upgrade of the firmware.
