MobilChange (and FaxChange) communication over network
|
Schema shows how Faxchange/Mobilchange server communicates with Exchange server, clients and other servers
(DNS, domain controller). Communication knowledge is important especially in case that any component
from schema is located behind the firewall.
Common rules:
- Communication between Fx/Mx server (i.e. shared folders) and client PC can be disabled on the firewall,
but share itself can not be removed (must be shared).
- Client installation can be provided using RemoteInstaller and Fax_Server_Printer component may be installed
on different server (this must be considered during client installation).
- Communication between client PC and Exchange (related to Fx/Mx usage) is standard Outlook communication (MAPI),
in case of access to Fax_Server_Printer it is standard Windows sharing (TCP port 445).
- You must assure correct time on Mx server to work correctly, either on MS Active Directory level or
by access to external NTP server on UDP port 123.
- TCP port 3268 is necessary for accessing Global catalog.
