Ericsson GC-25 |
Ericsson GC-25 is a module produced as a PCMCIA. It is a bit slower than Siemens M20T; thanks to not so good support of PCMCIA card on Windows NT 4.0 we don't recommend it's usage on any servers -- can make the system unstable. The quality of signal and receiving is regarding to it's small antenna - which cannot be moved - often problematic.
First you must install the PCMCIA cards adapter on the computer where MobilChange will be running. This adapter is possible to purchase at Datasys company.

After having "PC CARD reader" installed, plug the GC25 card into the PCMCIA slot BEFORE you switch your computer on.
PCMCIA subsystem of Windows NT 4.0
The PCMCIA device is not started automatically; therefore go to Control panel and through the Devices selection set for PCMCIA device startup to Boot and restart your computer.
The GC25 card should be visible in PCMCIA manager after computer restart. (Control Pannel / PCMCIA):
After this is the card set and ready to use. It is not necessary to install any programs and/or drivers from Ericsson - if they are installed, you must switch them off through user's application or they will disable access to the card.
