CSID auto-identification and auto-routing |
With FaxChange you can automate the routing of faxes for the end recipient according to the senders' CSID. Individual items can be set in User Manager. But there is also a special option -- automatic setting of CSID routing and CSID identification. This can be enabled or modified in registry.
With CSID autorouting running, CSID and a recipient connect automatically. That is, Mr. Wright sends a fax to IBM. From that moment on, all faxes sent from IBM will show "IBM [IBM number]" and the recipient will automatically be Mr. Wright.
With CSID auto-identification running, CSID and a company name are connected. That is, if Mr. Wright sends a fax to IBM, all the subsequent faxes for Mr. Wright from IBM will show "IBM [IBM number]", but their route will be a standard one, i.e. sent by PABX routing or,if there is no PABX, the service routing.
All registry settings indicated here are in HKLM/Software/Datasys/FaxChange/global/csid
subtree.

It is possible to apply another configuration to the both automatic settings modes:
For identification, senders enter only their company name | autofill4=1 |
For identification, a recipient's name and company name is entered | autofill4=0 |
Mr. Wright sent a fax to "IBM CZ - marketing". Routing may or may not be initiated (by autofill3) and as an identification,"IBM CZ - marketing" has been used. Now, Mr. Ruffell sent a fax to the same number, but he addressed it as "IBM CZ - businessmen". What is going to happen with routing and identification?
Delete reference to Mr. Wright and IBM identification. | autofill2=0 |
Delete reference to Mr. Wright and IBM identification. Enter the new reference to Mr. Ruffell and IBM. | autofill2=1 |
Keep IBM identification, add reference to Mr. Ruffell (i.e. a new incoming fax will be received by both Mr. Wright and Mr. Ruffell). | autofill2=2 |
Keep the original records in the database. They will not be changed. That is, the reference to Mr. Wright and the original IBM identification will be retained. We recommend this mode, because if the administrator files records manually, the records will also be modified in other modes. Those who use other settings do so at their own risk. | autofill2=3 |
Auto-identification works for sent faxes only, it means when you send fax, then recipient's CSID is written to the database. CSIDs of the incoming faxes aren't recorded.
