FXprint extension for terminal server |
This add-in was written for case, when users work on terminal server and client printer doesn't work
How to take it into operation:
All necessary you find on installation CD in \support\FaxChange\Client_printer_Outlook_extension
folder.
Place CitFXPrn.dll file on the server in location accessible to all clients for reading (e.g. into
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Datasys\ folder). Enter path to this location into registrace.reg file under
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Exchange\Client\Extensions]

to duplicate all backslashes!).
Under [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Datasys\FaxChange\Client]

enter network path to printer file queue in "fxPrintQ"="\\\\FXserver\\fxPrintQ" value (again be aware of double backslashes).
Import .reg file on the terminal server, where clients run Outlook. When Outlook is started after import,
two new buttons for client printer appears on the toolbar. The right one is used for switching between one/more documents mode;
when you click the left one, printer queue will be searched and if file printed by
logged in user is found, new mail is created with inserted attachments.
