Problem: | Client doesn't react to new request for package installation |
Problem description:
You create a new request for package installation in UMS RemoteInstall manager. There is UMS.RemoteInstaller service installed and running on the client PC, but after all request is not processed, or is processed with delay max. one hour.
Solution:
Check if there is active firewall on the client PC (it is e.g. part of Windows XP SP2). If yes, you must enable incoming connection on port 24680. This port is used by UMS RemoteInstall manager for sending notification about new requests for installation to the clients.
