Problem: | FaxChange stops to deliver faxes after applying Exchange hotfixes |
Problem description:
If you install any of hotfixes for Exchange server released during and after May 2006 (for example Security Update for Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2 (KB912442)), incoming faxes will not be delivered to the users. However faxes can be sent from Outlook and they are delivered successfuly.
Problem is related to these Exchange versions:
Solution:
Problem is caused by right changes in Exchange (Full Mailbox Access right is not enough to send message, you need also Send As). How to set rights into functional state:
Create/set the following registry entry
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Exchange\EXAdmin Value name: ShowSecurityPage Value type: REG_DWORD Value data: 1Start Exchange System Manager and show your organization properties (object at the top of hierarchical tree - click by right button - Properties).
In common it is better if service account is not member of any group, which has explicitly denied Send As, Receive As rights.
