| Problem: | How to defragment MS Access database? |
Problem description:
Thanks to the content fragmentation takes MS Access more disk space than it is necessary. Database defragmentation had to be done manually before. FaxChange 4.0 brings a new tool for automatic database defragmentation.
(This problem appears only in MS Access DB.)
Solution:
In the directory FaxChange/setup/bin you will find program CompactDB.exe. It is necessary to start it on the server, all Faxxchange services using DB (Server, Router, OCR) must be stopped and disabled.
You can use this batch either FaxChange/setup/bin/_compact_db.cmd, which stops all
FaxChange services, does the DB defragmentation and then starts the services again. Once more - the
batch must be run from the server.
