Problem description:

Fax deleting via fxArch program can be on some computers slow. Can it be speed up? Depends the speed on the option, if fxArch runs on server or on administrator station?

Solution:

After doing some tests we can say that:

• The speed is almost the same when running on server or even on admin station
• The speed depends only on the speed of computer and free memory size

Here are measured values. The first is for Pentium 100 MHz / 80 MB RAM, the second for PII Celeron 300 / 128 MB RAM. Values measured on the server and admin station with the same configuration do not differ.

First fax deleting: 6.5 sec / 0.6 sec
Every next fax: 2.5 sec / 0.22 sec
Final update: 10 sec + 0.8 sec per each fax / 1 sec + 0.1 sec for each fax

Resume: On the ten times faster computer runs fax deleting ten times faster.
