Problem: | Automatic encoding change on SMTP gateway |
Problem description:
The SMTP gateway in FaxChange 4.0 up to SP2 version used to make the encoding conversion automatically when the message was sent in Windows 1250 charset and made it to ISO 8859-2. This was unsuitable in countries where "Central European" languages are not used.
Solution:
From FaxChange 4.0 SP2 version it is possible to
set up the encoding due to your needs.
In registry key:
HKLM/SOFTWARE/Datasys/FaxChange/global/smtp_pop3/
are items encoding_local
- charset codepage used in Windows
encoding_transport
- charset codepage in sent SMTP e-mails
Permitted values for these items are: US ASCII = 0, ISO 8859-1 = 1, ISO 8859-2 Latin-2 = 2, Windows CP1250 = 3, MS DOS Latin-2 (CP 852) = 4, CZ Kamenicky (CP 895) = 5, CZ MAC = 6, CZ KOI8CS = 7.
