Problem description:

FaxChange can cooperate with IMail server. Some configugurations and restricions are described in this document.

Solution:

You need one IP address and create MX record on DNS server, see image:

In this sample server name is tester.imail.cz with address 192.168.32.205 (to this address points MX record), as alias name is imail.cz. This enable sending mails to users user@imail.cz or user@tester.imail.cz - mail will be delivered in both cases. Then it is necessary create user "faxchange" and alias "nobody" which points to faxchange user.
This has effect that mails for non existing users are sent to FaxChange for processing.
In registry set these values (text type)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Datasys/FaxChange/global/smtp_pop3
fax_subdomain_mode="1"
fax_subdomain_name="tester.imail.cz"
This settings enables sending faxes to number@tester.imail.cz, but not to number@imail.cz which is better.

Tested with Outlook express. Outlook97 - encoding table must be set ISO8859-2 (require iso88592.trn in directory system32), see image:

If this is not set, all messages comes as attachments.

Further information:

Imail client shipped with server didn't work with this solution.
