Problem description:

FaxChange SMTP gateway after installation doesn't work with some SMTP servers.

For example sendmail from HP OpenMail.

Solution:

Problem is in transfering fax address to servers and in interpreting MAIL FROM. EMWAC server and most other servers expect this command in format MAIL FROM: "display name" <USERNAME@DOMAIN.DOMAIN.COM>, but some servers expect MAIL FROM: "display name"<USERNAME@DOMAIN.DOMAIN.COM> (difference is in space character between display name and address). FaxChange SMTP gateway can be configured which format should be used.

Registry value:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Datasys/FaxChange/global/smtp_pop3/addr_mode

can be set to:

"0" = EMWAC server and compatible (with space)
"1" = HP OpenMail sendmail server (without space)
